Kovincted was one of the best albums this year. Released in late 2006, it hasn’t reached no1. on Billboard 200, but it’s performance helped Akon to gain top pop artist honor.

Akon is also in top at number of hits in Billboard Hot 100 Songs where he has 6 songs: #3 - The Sweet Escape (with Gwen Stephani) , #8 - I wanna love you (feat. Snoop Dogg), #11 - Don’t Matter (this is my favorite), #15 - Smach That (feat. Eminem), #33 - Bartender (feat T-Pain) and #58 - I Tried (Feat Bone Thugs-N-Harmony)

hopefully next year would be like this one for akon, or maybe even better.
